The flue vent exit shall be located not less than 48” from any opening through which exhaust could enter the
building, (i.e. windows and doors), and not less than 24” from adjacent public walkways. It shall be arranged so
that flue gases are not directed in such a way as to pose a health hazard, overheat combustible structures or enter
any building. Do not terminate the exhaust flue pipe in an attic, garage, carport or any enclosed or semi-
enclosed area, under a porch or sun deck, or near shrubs or combustibles stored near the outlet.
