VCM Name
Enter a Descriptive Name for the VCM Server, this
name will show in the Connection window when
Client is launched.
IP Address
Enter the IP Address for the system the VCM
Server Service is running on.
Port
Enter the Port for the VCM Server Service. The
default is 10507.
VCM User Name
/ Password
Enter a Valid Username and Password that exist on
the VCM Server. The list of DVR Servers provided
by the VCM Server will be based on the
permissions of the VCM User.
DVR User Name
/ Password
Enter a Valid Username and Password that exist on
the DVR Servers. The DVR access will be based on
the permissions of the DVR User.
Test IP
Click to test that the IP and Port information is
correctly configured.
When VIGIL Client starts, the user will be prompted to select a VCM Server to
connect to and retrieve the DVR List or choose Local Settings to load the DVR list
that was locally configured on the VIGIL Client.
Enable Client Login
VIGIL Client by default users No Authentication which allows any user full access to the Client Software. When
the Enable Client Login option is checked, VIGIL Client supports two levels of User Authentication;
Administrative Users who have full access and Users who have no access to the Settings window or to DVR
Settings. Click the Manage Logins button to open the Manage Logins window.
