Mower Deck Blade
Replacement

WARNING!
BEFORE REPLACING THE MOWER
BLADE(S), DISCONNECT THE MOWER
BLADE DRIVE, SHUT THE ENGINE OFF,
CHOCK THE RIDING MOWER’S
WHEELS, ALLOW THE ENGINE TO
COOL, DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG
WIRE AND PREVENT IT FROM
TOUCHING THE SPARK PLUG, AND
REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE
KEYSWITCH.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS
INSTRUCTION COULD RESULT IN
PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE.
BLADE REMOVAL
28" Blade Removal
1. Wrap heavy rags around blade (or wear
heavy leather gloves). Hold blade to
prevent it from turning.
2. Before removing blade, note position:
the raised corners of the blade point up.
3. Remove two screws (A, Fig. 52) and
lock washers (B) securing plate (C), and
blade (D) to the spindle assembly (E).
Models 13055, 13057, 13067 &
13068
1. Wrap heavy rags around blade (or wear
heavy leather gloves). Hold blade to
prevent it from turning.
2. Remove blade bolt (F, Fig. 52), spring
washer (G), and spindle washer (I)
securing blade (H) to bottom of blade
adapter (J).
3. Remove blade.
33" Blade Removal
1. Wrap heavy rags around blade (or wear
heavy leather gloves). Hold blade to
prevent it from turning.
2. Before removing blade, note position:
the raised corners of the blade point up.
3. Loosen center bolt (K). Remove two
outer bolts and nuts (L). Remove center
bolt (K).
36" Blade Removal
1. Wrap heavy rags around blade (or wear
heavy leather gloves). Hold blade to
prevent it from turning.
2. Before removing blade, note position:
the raised corners of the blade point up.
3. Remove blade bolt (F, Fig. 52), spring
washer (G), and spindle washer (i)
securing blade (H) to bottom of blade
adapter (J).
4. Remove blade.

1. Re-position blade in place.
