Keeping the Seam Straight
As you stitch, use one of the numbered
lines on the needle plate as a guide for
keeping the seams straight.
If you want a 1.6cm (§'') seam, for
example, line up your fabric with right or
left guidelines 5, which are extended on
the slide plate for your convenience.

of the presser foot only, as shown.
Some fabrics, however, require support
while being stitched:
