Step 1. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot.
[ ] indication is displayed for several seconds, followed by
"Memory Card Check" indication, checking whether the SD card
is compatible to the recorder or not.
When the indication disappears, the SD card is ready for use.
Note
If the inserted SD card is not compatible, [
] indication remains
displayed. In this case, initialize the SD card in FAT16 or FAT32
format on a PC running the Windows operating system or use the
new SD card.
Step 2. Press the Record button.
The Recording screen appears, and the recorder is placed in
standby mode.
The operation indicator flashes red.
Step 3. Press the Record button again.
A file name to be recorded is displayed, and recording begins.
The operation indicator lights red.
Tip
A file name is automatically created.
A serial number starting with 0001 is assigned to a file name in
numerical order skipping used numbers.
File name: DM1-0001.mp3
Note
Do not perform any operations other than a press of the pause or
stop button during recording, as doing so may cause malfunction.
