7.1.2. Before use

7.1.2.1. Handling precautions

• Be sure to make a backup copy of the sound source file recorded on the SD card to a PC. There is a possibility

that data will be lost due to unit's breakdown or mishandling.

• When inserting or removing the SD card, do not apply excessive force to the card slot. Doing so may cause

damage to the unit or a scratch on the SD card.

• The Recorder is a high-precision electronic device. When moving the unit, be sure to take out the SD card

from the slot. Doing otherwise may cause damage to the unit or breakage to the sound source media.

• The backup battery is fully charged in 5 days when connected to AC mains. Once fully charged, the battery

maintains the time setting for 4 months.

7.1.2.2. Usable SD card

• An SD card or SDHC card up to 32 GB can be used.

• The compatible file format is FAT16 and FAT32.

• A mini SD/SDHC card and micro SD/SDHC card cannot be used.

Notes

• An SD card is not supplied with the unit. Prepare it separately.

• SD/SDHC card, even though satisfying the conditions above, may not be used with the unit depending on its

characteristics and record conditions.
