13. Slide two (2) hose clamps and reducer hose
(2.0L & 1.8t) or straight hose (VR6) onto intake
tube. Install MAF to factory intake hose (using
factory spring clamp) and to hose on intake tube.
Position and tighten remaining two (2) hose clamps.

14. FOR AIR PUMP EQUIPPED CARS ONLY: To
attach air pump tube to fitting, loosen clamp at the
engine and slide tube through clamp for more slack.
Now attach air pump tube to intake tube fitting
making sure that it clips on completely. If
necessary, apply a small amount of lubricant (i.e.
WD-40) onto O-ring.

15. Reinstall MAF electrical connector.

16. Reinstall battery tray and box in reverse of disassembly. NOTE: Tuck wiring connector (see step 8) into
battery box.

17. Double-check all fasteners and electrical connections. NOTE: Before starting engine, turn ignition switch to
ON position for 30 seconds for throttle body adaptation. This is required each and every time power is
disconnected from the vehicle.

18. Start engine and test drive carefully!
