General preferences
• Serial Number: when you buy StoryMill, you
can enter your serial number here.
• Check for updates on startup: check if you
wish to have StoryMill automatically check for
updates when you launch the program.
• Auto-save documents every [num]
minutes: set an auto-save interval, or 0
(zero) to disable auto-saving.
• Open at startup: choose whether to open a
new document or the last document you had
open when you started up StoryMill.
• Default template: choose the template used
for new documents.
• Fade transparency: drag this slider to adjust
how transparent windows become when you
use window fading (see
Window fading , p. 59).
Tip:
When you start dragging the fade transparency slider,
the preferences window will become transarent. Donʼt
panic! Keep dragging the slider until the preferences
are the transparency that youʼd like your windows to be
when you fade them. When you let go of the slider, the
window will return to its normal opaque self.
