STEP 9 - “SKYPE“ REMOTE MONITORING SOFTWARE
REMOTE MONITORING PROGRAM
The Remote Monitoring program works with an online service called “Skype.” This program allows you
to connect to your camera at home through your Skype account. All you have to do is simply log in to a
Skype account, start a chat to the computer at home and type in a password to access the program.
To Run the Remote Monitoring program
1. Insert the included driver CD (Named CD 1) into your computers CD drive that the USB receiver is
hooked up to.
2. Open the CD file in My Computer and Double-click the icon named “Remote Access” and follow the
installation guide.
• If you are using Vista an installation control screen may appear, if so,
select “Allow”
3. Once the installation is complete the program will automatically start to run off your
Skype account.
• To adjust any settings for remote monitoring program, right click the program and
select options
4. If you to not have a Skype account, you can download it for free online from
www.skype.com/download.
To view your camera from another location:
1. Make sure your Skype is open on the computer with the USB receiver connected to it.
2. From another location, log into a different Skype account and select to have a conversation with
the computer connected to the USB receiver.
3. After 5 seconds, you will be asked to input a password to view the camera. Type the password
(default is 123) into the text entry box.
4. Type “led on” and “led off” and press enter to turn the camera’s night vision on and off.
