nplesetting the Factory Set PIN

П

If you wish, you can cut this section from the manual to prevent children (for

example) from learning the factory setting of the PIN and how to reset this factory
value. Iftheydonotknowthis PIN they will be unable to view programmes you have
locked because you considerthem unsuitable for children. Neither will they be able

to access menus you have locked. You can lock menus to prevent children from

altering receiver and programme settings.

The factory setting for the PIN is 1234. If you have customised your PIN (see

Parental Control Menu on page 13) and then forget what it is, you can resetthe PIN

to its factory value as follows. Pull the mains plug on your receiver out of its socket,
then press and hold down the (!) key while you put the mains plug back into the
socket. You need to hold down the key as long as the characters DP are displayed
on the front panel. Note that this action also unlocks any programmes you had

[ locked and unlocks the menus if you had locked them.
