Attaching the Strap
Attach the strap to the strap ring as shown in the
illustration.
IMPORTANT!
• Be sure to keep the strap around your wrist when
using the camera to protect against accidentally
dropping it.
• The supplied strap is intended for use with this
camera only. Do not use it for any other purpose.
• Never swing the camera around by the strap.
Power Requirements
Your camera features a two-way power supply that lets you
use either AA-size batteries or household AC current. A set
of AA-size rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries is
supplied with the camera. The other items listed below are
available separately.

Batteries
• Two AA-size rechargeable
nickel-metal hydride batteries
: HR-3U (Rated Capacitance 2100 mAh) (bundled)
HR-3U (Rated Capacitance 2300 mAh)
• Two AA-size lithium batteries: FR6
• Two AA-size alkaline batteries: LR6
• Proper operation cannot be guaranteed if you use any
other type of battery other than that noted above.
• When being powered by AA-size alkaline batteries (LR6),
the camera may not operate at all at temperatures of 5 ° C
(41 ° F) or lower.
The batteries are not charged when you purchase the
camera. You need to charge batteries before using the
camera for the first time (page 33).
