B. Delayed Transmission
After you've set a document into the feeder and pressed
FUNCTION
to obtain the temporary
FUNCTION MODE, you can press
"3
" to temporarily set the unit up for
delayed
transmission.
This setting can program your unit to fax a document automatically in a few
minutes, a few hours or even as late as 7 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes away!
1. Pressing 3 will result in the following LCD display:
MSG CTR
— AUTO ANS
^PASSWORD
DELAY SEND:OFF
2. Press a cursor key. The LCD changes to:
DELAY SEND:ON
. MSG CTR
AUTO ANS
■PASSWORD

Press
SET
to obtain the following LCD display:
DELAY: D HH:MM
MSG CTR
AUTO ANS
■ PASSWORD

Use the ten key pad to enter the appropriate time over the cursor. For D (day),
enter number from 0 to 7, where 0 is today, 1 is tomorrow, 4 is four days from
now.
For example, if you enter "1 12:30", your document will be transmitted at 12:30
the next day.

Press
SET
to register this time into the unit's memory.
6.
Press
SET
and the LCD will display:

PASSWORD
FAX:
DELAY WAITING

Dial the number and press
START.
The LCD will display:
MSG CTR
— AUTO ANS
"•-PASSWORD
Now, you can walk away from the unit. The FAX-220 will transmit the document which is in the
ADF automatically at the time which you have set. Should you change your mind about sending
this document, return to step 1 by pressing
FUNCTION
and "3". Then select
"DELAYSEND:OFF", press
SET
twice and press
STOP.
Now, the document will be removed.
