If you wish to record a MEMO, press either cursor key. The LCD will display:
P_ MSG CTR
MEMO:RECORD
AUTO ANS
■PASSWORD
Press
START/COPY.
The unit enters the recording mode and the LCD will display:
^ MSG CTR
MEMO:RECORDING
- AUTO ANS
-PASSWORD
• Speak into the microphone. The length of a MEMO is the same as ICM (see p.43).
When you have finished recording the MEMO, press
STOP.
The LCD displays:
- MSG CTR
MEMO:RECORDED
• After 2 seconds, the LCD returns to:
MEMO:RECORD
AUTO ANS
•PASSWORD
. MSG CTR
AUTO ANS
■PASSWORD
Or if you do not press
STOP
after recording, after the selected MEMO (ICM) time
runs out, the display will automatically return to:
_ MSG CTR
- AUTO ANS

• Press
SET
to return to the original LCD display:
- MSG CTR
MEMO:RECORDED
MSG RECORDED

If you wish to play back MEMO'S, press
NEXT.
The LCD displays the following three
(3) choices:

Press
PLAY (HOOK)
to playback MEMO's.
PLAY ERS FWD
Let's take an example.
Suppose that you are in home and have an appointment at 6:00 with your husband. But you want to
change the time and cannot reach him now. In such a case, you can use
the MEMO function.
Your
husband can get your message recorded on your
FAX-220
using
the REMOTE OPERATION function
(see p.42) even if you are out.
Press
FUNCTION,
and select
"9".
