Cleaning the Thermal

Recording Head

If the received documents were blank, check the recording paper is set

correctly, (see page 2-5)
If the received documents were contained blank bands, the thermal

recording head is probably dirty and must be cleaned.

To clean the thermal recording head,

1. Open the RCV Cover t3y pressing down on the latch button on the right

side panel.

Wipe the surface of the thermal head unit gently with a soft cloth or

gauze soaked with ethyl alcohol. Be sure to use a clean cloth since the
thermal head can be easily scratched.
