Basic play
Press and hold SKIP/SEARCH
() in the still picture mode.
•The speed will be retained even after the
button is released.
With the remote control unit
Press SLOW/SEARCH in the still
picture mode.
•The speed of slow-motion is slow at first.
When the button is pressed again, the
speed becomes faster. (Each time the
button is pressed, the speed increases
up to 5 steps.)
Reverse
►X, » : Forward
• Normal play is resumed when PLAY (>)
Is pressed.
Note:
•For Video CDs, slow-motion playback in
reverse direction is not possible.

Press STOP (□) after the menu
screen appears.
Press SKIP/SEARCH (,
►W) or SKIP to select the pre­
ferred track and press PLAY
(>).
(Play begins.)
•Refer to the jacket etc. of the disc
concerned for the track numbers.
•Select “track 1” to start play from
the beginning of the disc.
•The NUMBER button on the re­
mote control can also be used for
entering the track numbers. (See
page 21 for information on entering
numbers.)
When the number is selected using
the NUMBER button, pressing
PLAY ([>) is not necessary.
n To return to menu play
Press STOP (□) twice to stop playback
and press PLAY (>).
(The menu is resumed on the screen.)
