If the camera is not operated for about

15 seconds, the LCD monitor display turns off

and power consumption is saved.
• When setting [ECONOMY] to [ON], the LCD

monitor display is turned off during charging
the flash.

• When setting [ECONOMY] to [ON], power

save setting time is fixed to [2 MIN,].

[Preparation]

• Set the mode dial except for [(►)]/[ VJ-

(P23)

Press the [MENU] button.

Press ^ to open the setup menu.

Press A/T to select [ECONOMY].

Press ► to select [ON],

Press the [MENU] button.

• The menu will disappear.

• The message [MONITOR OFF] flashes for

some seconds before LCD monitor display
is turned off.

• The LCD monitor turns on when pressing

any buttons.

• When using AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC2)/recording the motion image, the

economy mode is not available.

• The economy mode does not work during the menu screen is displayed or the

self-timer is set.
