Some jurisdictions prohibit the driver from

using a cellular mobile phone while driving a

vehicle.
Bear in mind that at a speed of just 30 mph

(approximately 50 km/h), your vehicle is

covering a distance of 44 feet (approximately

14 m) every second.

Call up the telephone basic menu

If the telephone has not yet been authorized,

the

Bluetooth Ready

message appears in

the multifunction display.
If the telephone is switched on and

authorized, the

Phone Ready

message

appears in the multifunction display.

Accepting a call

Press the 6 button.

If the telephone menu is displayed in the

multifunction display, the name or number of

the person calling appears.

Rejecting or ending a call

X

Press the ~ button.

Calling a number from the phone book

If your mobile phone can accept calls, you can

search for a number in the COMAND phone

book and call the number.

In the multifunction display, select the

phone menu using the = or ;

button.

The

Phone Ready

message appears in the

multifunction display.

Press the :, 9 or a button to

display the phone book.

X

Press the : or 9 button to select the

name you want.

The saved names are sorted alphabetically.

An exact phone number exists: press the

6 or a button to make the call.

The

Connecting Call

message and the

number dialed appear in the multifunction

display. The name also appears if it is

stored in the phone book. The phone

number dialed is stored in the

Calls

Dialed

call list (

page 113).

The phone book entry appears in the

multifunction display when the call is

connected.

Several phone numbers exist: press the

6 or a button to display all the

phone numbers for the selected entry.

Press the : or 9 button to select the

phone number you want.

Press the 6 or a button to make the

call.

The

Connecting Call

message and the

number dialed appear in the multifunction

display. The name also appears if it is

stored in the phone book. The phone

number dialed is stored in the

Calls

The phone book entry appears in the

multifunction display when the call is

connected.

If you press the : or 9 button for

longer than a second, the on-board

computer shows the names in rapid scroll.

Rapid scroll speeds up after four seconds.

It stops when you release the button again

or the end of the list is reached.

If you do not want to make a call, you can

close the phone book by pressing the

~ button.

Redialing

COMAND saves the last phone numbers or

names dialed.
