Linux
After locating the standalone STAPL player installer (standalone_acx_stapl_player.tgz)
on the development CD (or after downloading it from the Achronix web site), extract and install
the software to the desired installation directory.
Note:
The archive contains no directory structure; therefore, the installation directory chosen must be
the final desired location.
1.
Ensure prerequisites are satisfied.
Note:
The acx_stapl_player is a 32‐bit executable, and requires 32‐bit shared libraries.
Dependencies upon the libraries libX11.so.6 and libusb-0.1.so.4 must be satisfied.
Example: On a clean CentOS 6.4 x86_64 installation, by calling yum provides with the
libraries listed above, it was determined the following additional software (each with their own
dependency hierarchies) had to be installed:
libX11-1.5.0-4.el6.i686
libusb-0.1.12-23.el6.i686
Achronix strongly recommends getting help from a system administrator before running yum.
2.
Extract the software.
% mkdir
% tar -xzvf standalone_acx_stapl_player.tgz
3.
If USB Bitporter support is desired, with administrator rights (via sudo or su) run the
Perl install script install_acx_bitporter_usb.pl
% perl ./install_acx_bitporter_usb.pl
