With the optional MM-200 Stereo Mixing
Microphone or the optional ZM-100 Stereo/Zoom
Microphone, you can record stereo sound more
effectively.
Attaching the External Microphone
1. Slide the external microphone into
accessory shoe on camera.
2. Connect the audio plug of external
microphone to ST. MIC terminal on
camera.
3. Connect the DC plug of external
microphone to DC output terminal
on camera.
Notes:
• The optional MB-100 Microphone Boom altows
you to raise the microphone away from unwanted
camera noise when recording at quiet locations.
•
When you use the VL-7 Battery Video Light and an
external microphone at the same time, use the'
optional SA-1 Adapter Bracket.
•
You can monitor stereo sound with commercially
available headphones.
•
When using a commercially available microphone,
be sure it is a stereo miaophone with its own
power source.
•
The microphone on the camcorder cannot be.
removed.

You can use commercially available stereo
headphones to monitor stereo sound.
1. Connect the stereo headphones to
the HEADPHONES terminal.
• Monitoring is only possible when camera is in
record or record pause mode.
