PRECAUTIONS ON LAP DISSOLVE AND SUPERIMPOSITION
The film rewinding action of the Super 8 camera takes place inside a
small film cartridge and, consequently, even the slightest change tends to
cause troubles.
Therefore take the following precautions to avoid trouble.
•
The film transport indicator lamp stops blinking in fade-outs and starts
blinking in fade-ins.
• Use filming speeds of 18 or 24 frames per second.
•
Rewind immediately after you finish shooting. If the film is left without
rewinding
for
a
long
time,
it
will
show
a
tendency
to
coil
and
this
may cause problems.
•
Because of the structure of the cartridge, the first and last 5 ft. of film
cannot be rewound (in the range of blue line on the footage counter).
