To Activate XM Satellite Radio
Once you have installed the XM Mini-Tuner
Dock, iiiserled the XM Mni-Tuner, connected
the XM Dock to your XM Ready® home audio
system, and installed the antenna, you are ready
to subscribe and begin receiving XM
programming. There are three places to find
your eight character XM Radio ID: on the XM
Mini-Tuner, on the XM Mini-Tuner package,
and on XM Channel 0, Record the Radio ID in
the I'ollowing eight squares for reference.
Note; The XM Radio ID docs not use the letters
“I,” “O,” “,S,” or “F.” Activate your XM Satellite
Radio service in the U.S. online at http://
activate.xmradio.com or call i-800-XM-
RADIO (1-800-967-2346). You will need a
major credit card. XM will send a signal front
the satellites to activate the full channel lineup.
Activation normally takes 10 to 1.6 minutes, but
during peak busy periods you may need to keep
your XM Ready home audio system on for up to
an hour. When you can access the full channel
lineup on your XM Ready home audio system
you are done. For more information or to

Connecting the XM Radio
Before opera.'ling the system, conneetthe XM
Connect-and-Play antemia to the XM jack.
•To ensure optima] reception of XM’s satellite (vignai,
move your antenna to various window locations
around your home to see where the best reception will
be received. Most XM customers place the antenna in
a soutlwfacins window with a clear view to the skv.
Checking the XM Radio ID

Press D.TUNING.
Press 0, and then 0 to select channel

panel display.
Receiving XM Radio

Before tuniiig, make sure to (urn down the
volume to minimum.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until “XM”
appears in the front panel display.

Press TUNING + or - to select a
channel.
For slow tuning, press TUNING + or -
briefly.
For fast tuning, press and hold TUNING +
or -.

Adjust the volume by pressing
VOLUME +/-.

Selecting channels from a
category (Category Tuning)
You can select a chairnel from one category or
all the categories by changing the category
mode.

Press CATEGORY MODE repeatedly to
select “ONE CAT.”
• “ALL CAT” : You can select a channel
from all the categories. The initial setting
is “.ALL CAT.”
