Various Functions for Playing Discs
Searching for a Particular
Point on a Disc
(Scan, Slow-motion Play, Freeze
Frame)
You can quickly locate a particular poinl on a
disc by monitoring ihc picture or playing back
slowly.
• Depending on the DVD/VIDEO CD, you may not be
able 1.0 do some of the operations described.
Locating a point quickly by
playing a disc in fast forward
or fast reverse (Scan)
(Except for JPEG)
Press or ►►/!!*- while playing a disc.
When you find ihe poinl you watil. press to
reliirn lo iiorinal speed. Eacii time you press -«8/
■4^ or ►►/!»“ during scan, Ihe playback speed
changes. Wilh each press ihe iiidicalion changes
as shown below. Actual speeds may differ with
some discs.

pause mode. To return to normal playback
speed, press Each lime you press

speed changes. Two speeds are available. With
each press the indication changes as follows:

When the system is in the pause mode, press
»”#• to go to the next frame. Press to go to
the preceding frame (DVD VIDEO/DVD-R/
DVD-RW only). To return to normal playback,
press l>.

• You cannot search for a still picture on a DVD-R/
DVD-RW ill VR mode.
With each press, playback speed becomes faster.
