CEN-RFGW-EX
The CEN-RFGW-EX is a wireless gateway for up to 100 infiNET EX devices. It is
necessary when using infiNET EX products such as Cameo Wireless Dimmers
and Switches, Cameo Wireless Keypads, and wireless iLux products. The “Wi-Fi
friendly” gateway links into a Crestron control system through Cresnet or
Ethernet. Up to 16 wireless gateways can be installed in a single control
system. The CEN-RFGW-EX can be powered through either Cresnet or PoE
(Power over Ethernet).
For areas with dead spots, or to connect a wireless device that is more than
150 feet away from the nearest infiNET EX repeater, see the CLW-EXPEX below.
Each gateway supports up to five expanders.
CLW-EXPEX
The CLW-EXPEX is a wireless expander designed to increase the range of
infiNET EX devices. The expander simply plugs into a standard AC wall socket –
all other setup is automatic. Use the expander to fill in dead spots in infiNET EX
coverage, or to extend the range up to 150 feet further per expander. Up to five
expanders can be used in a system.
infiNET EX
Crestron’s infiNET EX technology provides ultra-reliable two-way wireless communications throughout a structure. Nearly every
device acts as a repeater, passing along the signal to any other device within range. As more devices are added, the system takes
advantage of redundant signal paths. infiNET EX runs on the 2.4 GHz spectrum, and has 16 possible channels to reduce
interference with other 2.4 GHz devices.
Range varies due to interference from walls and electronic noise, but it typically reaches 150 feet (46 m) indoors, 250 feet (76 m)
outdoors.
