Connect Steering Hoses
Note: Hose and harness installation consumes cable ties
provided in the parts crate. Use the shortest tie
length at each point.
76. Locate the steering hoses coiled up at the rear left
end of the center frame. Cut the tie holding the coil.
Refer to Figure 49
77. Identify the hose connected to port ST1 at the steer-
ing control valve block (located at front center of
mainframe).
Note: This hose may be marked with a black cable tie at
the loose end.
Refer to Figure 50 (which depicts fan installed, which is not
done until step 88)
78. Route the ST1 hose:
under the upper cross tube at the mainframe paral-
lel arm pivot weldment,
over the upper forward arm pivot tube,
along the inside of the lower left parallel arm,
over the lower rear arm pivot tube,
down to the rod end of the left steering cylinder.
Note: The tee at the cylinder rod end may be marked with
a black cable tie.
79. Connect the ST1 hose to the tee at the rod end of
the left steering cylinder.
80. Verify that the other hose is connected to port ST2
of the valve block. Route it along side the ST1 hose.
81. Connect it to the tee at the base end of left steering
cylinder.
82. Check that all steering hose and fitting connections
are tight.
83. Allow hose slack at both arm pivots for vertical
motion of the seed cart relative to the mainframe.
84. Secure the hoses with ties.
