Unfolding and Folding
Unfolding (At Field)
These instructions presume the implement has just
completed transport, is raised, and transport locks are
installed. It is being unfolded for field use.
1.
Remove the wing lock pins (page 31).
2.
Extend the lift-assist circuit to fully raise the
implement and free the lift-assist lock channels.
3.
Un-pin all four inner wing lock channels (page 32).
Swing the spring-plunger assemblies onto their
respective fold cylinder bodies (page 32).
4.
Extend the fold circuit to unfold the wings.
5.
Set all circuits to Neutral. Shut off the tractor.
6.
Install the outer wing lock channels (page 31)
7.
Swing the spring-plunger assemblies outward onto
their lock channels (page 32).
8.
Remove the lift-assist lock channels (page 31).
Install the spacers (page 26).
9.
If wing gauge wheels were extended, crank them to
field height (page 55).
10. Retract the fold circuit slightly to reset the stroke
control valve.
Notes about normal unfold:
• Inner wings unfold first. The outer wings are
constrained by the wing latches (page 34).
• Inner wing lock channels (page 32, not shown above),
if correctly preset, engage during inner wing unfold.
• Outer wings unfold last. The wing latches release just
before the inner wings are level.
