Install Side Dress Coulter
Refer to Figure 72
24. On the top of the front tool bar of the wing extension,
use a grease or paint pencil to make a mark exactly
30in to the left of the existing left end coulter.
25. Select one new or saved:
149-584D COULTER CLAMP 6H X 4W
two:
806-016C U-BOLT 5/8-11 X 6 1/32 X 5 3/4
and four sets:
804-022C WASHER LOCK SPRING 5/8 PLT
803-021C NUT HEX 5/8-11 PLT
26. Loosely assemble a clamp to the front of the front
tool bar on the wing extension .
27. Select one new or saved:
204-691K NP COULTER ASSY RH
28. Slide the coulter’s shank up into the clamp .
Align coulter shank with mark.
29. Set the height to match the other front coulters.
Secure nuts to Grade 5 specification. See “Coulter
Height and Castering” on page 54 for factory
settings.
Install Applicator Attachment
If the applicator tubing weldment is already installed on
the coulter, continue at “Connect Coulter Tubing” on
page 116.
30. Select one new:
204-688H VANTAGE I 20" LH FERT. ARM
which may be marked as:
204-691K NP COULTER ASSY RH
and two sets new:
802-082C HHCS 1/2-13X1 3/4 GR5
804-113C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS HARD PLT
804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
31. Mount the arm on the coulter swing arm .
See “Coulter Height and Castering” on page 54 for
height setting.
