Dismount Side Dress Coulter
Refer to Figure 83
18. Carefully loosen the four nuts
at each coulter
clamp
.
19. Slide the coulter shank
down out of the clamp.
20. If the clamp is not required for re-mounting the
coulter on a rear row, leave the clamp in place.
Re-tighten nuts to no more than Grade 2 torque.
Otherwise, remove and save one:
149-584D COULTER CLAMP 6H X 4W
two:
806-016C U-BOLT 5/8-11 X 6 1/32 X 5 3/4
and four sets:
804-022C WASHER LOCK SPRING 5/8 PLT
803-021C NUT HEX 5/8-11 PLT
Refer to Figure 84
21. If the clamp is required at the rear rows, re-install it at
the marked location that has no clamp.
Remount Rear Coulters
Refer to Figure 84
For each rear coulter:
22. Loosen the nuts
at clamp. Check that clamp
center-line is aligned with mark made at step 12 on
page 113.
23. Select one saved:
204-691K NP COULTER ASSY RH
24. Slide the coulter’s shank
up into the clamp
.
Check alignment to mark. Set the height for
conditions or to factory default. See “Coulter Height
and Castering” on page 54 for factory settings.
