Air Compressor System
Air Compressor
Refer to Figure 174
There is one 12V compressor
that requires mount-
ing. It should be mounted in a location on the tractor or
planter where it will be most convenient or where it is
possible to mount it. Mount where cool clean air can get
to it.
The air filter should be placed in the tractor cab where it
can pull clean air from the cab.The remote air filter line
should be as short as possible.

Air Tank
Refer to Figure 175
A horizontally mounted air tank is provided with the
YP30, YP40 and YP2425 model planters and is mounted
on the wing, on the 3PYP it is mounted on the main tool-
bar. A vertically mounted air tank is supplied with the
YP1225/1625 model planters and is mounted on a
marker arm mount. The air tank petcock
should be
opened once daily to drain water accumulation.

The air tank has two lines. A

attaches the
compressor to the air tank
. A

in line
splits at a
T-junction
and goes to the valves
while the remain-
ing end
attaches to the compressor plate where it
activates the pressure switches.
Note: If an on-board compressor is used, plug/bypass the
pressure switch branch.
