22 Separation column

Dialysis
The following installation diagram shows the connection of the sample
path with dialysis as inline sample preparation. For this you need the
6.5330.000 IC equipment for dialysis to be ordered separately.

For dialysis, an acceptor solution is preconcentrated with the ions of the
matrix-loaded sample and is carried via the injection valve onto the sepa-
ration column. The peristaltic pump in the instrument pumps the acceptor
solution; the sample still heavily matrix-loaded is pumped with a second
peristaltic pump which is installed on the Sample Processor. The tubing of
the peristaltic pump on the Sample Processor is not shown in this dia-
gram.
