Step 14: Route Chassis Harness forward. It may
be necessary to remove sill plates, pillar covers,
seat bases, side panels, etc. using a Plastic Trim
Removal Tool. In some cases, seatbelt bolts must
be removed. (CAUTION: Any bolts removed for
safety devices must be retightened to
manufacturer’s torque specifications).
Step 15: Secure Camera Harness to existing
vehicle wiring. This will minimize chance of binding
or otherwise damaging the harness.
RECOMMENDED: Wire Ties or Electrical Tape.
Step 16: Use a Plastic Trim Removal Tool, 7mm or
10mm Socket, and/ or Phillips Screwdriver to
remove garnish and fasteners securing radio
display.
Step 17: Pull the radio out to disconnect the
vehicles 24-pin connector. Caution: Be careful not
to disconnect antenna or other connection to back
of radio.
Step 18: Plug the vehicles 24-pin radio connector
into the female 24-pin connector of supplied
Display Harness.
Step 19: Plug the male 24-pin connector of
supplied Display Harness into the radio.
Step 20: Route supplied Chassis Harness under
carpet to the center console area. CAUTION: Keep
harness away from accelerator, brake pedal, and
parking brake assembly.
Step 21: Connect Chassis Harness male RCA
connector to Display Harness female RCA
connector.
Step 22: Connect the Red and Green wire of
Chassis Harness to the Red wire of the Display
Harness and Black wire of Chassis Harness to Black
wire of the Display Harness. (RECOMMENDED:
Solder wires and cover with Heat Shrink Tubing)
Step 23: Use Electrical Tape to secure Chassis
Harness and Jumper Harness RCA connection.
Step 24: Coil any excess Chassis Harness and
secure it and the Jumper Harness to existing
vehicle wiring with Wire Ties or Electrical Tape.
Step 25: Reinstall radio display and inspect that all
connections are proper and secure.
Step 26: Test system. Close trunk or liftgate and
clear all removed items from around the vehicle
before starting the vehicle. Next, shift into Reverse
and check radio display for the camera image.
Step 27: (If necessary) Adjust camera aim.
Reposition camera to the desired viewing angle.
Step 28: Reassemble vehicle. Follow your
disassembly steps in reverse order, taking care not
to bind the harness wiring when reinstalling trim.
