Terminology The following terms are specific to this product. For a complete
listing of Allen-Bradley terminology, refer to the Allen-Bradley
Industrial Automation Glossary, (publication number AG-7.1).
Resolver Element - A small electrical mechanical device that has a
single winding on the rotor and a pair of windings on the stator that
are electrically positioned at right angles to each other. When the
rotor winding is excited with an AC reference signal, the stator
windings produce AC voltage outputs that vary in amplitude
according to the sine and cosine of the shaft position.
