extra adjustment. Once everything is hung, measure to allow approximately two
inches of the outlets to insert into the tailpipes when properly installed and mark
accordingly. Use a hacksaw to remove the excess length, deburr and assemble.

5. FOR SYSTEMS WITH Y-PIPE TO FACTORY CONNECTION POINT: Install

the short lead pipe with two bends to the factory connection point using the wide
2.5” OEM clamp taken off earlier. Install the Y-pipe using two 2.5” Accuseal
clamps.

6. Install front tailpipes using two 2.5” Accuseal clamps.

7. Install mid tailpipes inlet pipes and two 2.5” Accuseal clamps.

8. Slide rear tailpipes into mufflers with two 2.5” Accuseal clamps on the end of

each pipe – one on the front of each pipe and one over each muffler inlet.

9. Install the factory frame mounts (brackets with rubber mounts included) for new

muffler hangers. These mounts available from the Ford dealer are exactly the
same as what is used to mount the muffler on the driver side. The brackets
include the rubber mounts for the hangers on the mufflers.

10. Position mufflers in place, and slide muffler inlet pipe onto the over axle pipes.

Insert the hangers which are welded to the mufflers into factory hanger mounts.

11. Starting at front of exhaust, adjust pipes to ensure adequate clearance to floor and

surrounding areas.

12. Tighten clamps as you work toward the rear of the car.

13. Install tips using two 2.5” Accuseal clamps making sure to have clearance around

the tip between the tip and valence.

14. Start car outside and warm up thoroughly. It will be normal for the exhaust

system to smoke for approximately 10 minutes. The smoke is due to lubrication
used in the manufacturing process and the vehicle should be allowed to run
outside.

15.

Let the vehicle cool thoroughly and re-tighten all clamps.
