INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR
2011+ MUSTANG GT 5.0 X-PIPE – P/N M11X
Thanks for purchasing Stainless Works X-pipe system for your 2011+ Mustang GT 5.0.
This system will replace your H-pipe with a new 3” X-pipe and leadpipes. We have gone
to great pains to make sure that our exhaust systems fit and sound great. Please follow
these steps to ensure that your installation goes as planned. Please assemble everything
together loosely, make fitment adjustments then tighten everything in sequence.
1. Disconnect the battery before starting work on the exhaust system for your
vehicle. Reconnect the battery when the job is completed.
2. Your exhaust system can be installed by a weekend warrior but the use of a lift is
recommended for ease of installation. If using a jack, the vehicle must be placed
on a level hard surface and jack stands are required for safety reasons.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Loosen 8 mm bolts on clamps on front of H-pipe.
5. Loosen clamps at rear of H-pipe - retain clamps for installation of Stainless
Works system.
6. Remove H-pipe.
7. Cut tabs holding front clamps to H-pipe and retain clamps for installation of
Stainless Works system.
8. Assemble X-pipe to lead pipes using (2) clamps provided.
9. Install X-pipe and lead pipes using factory clamps from H-pipe
10. Adjust for fitment and tighten all clamps.
