2005-2010 V6 MUSTANG DUAL EXHAUST
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Thanks for purchasing your Stainless Works Exhaust System. We have gone to great
pains to make sure that our exhaust systems fit and sound great. Please follow these steps
to ensure that your installation goes as planned. If you ordered a system for headers, your
kit will include an X-pipe that connects to the rear of the lead pipes for the header system.
If you ordered the system to fit the factory connection point, you will have a short lead
pipe with two bends and a Y-pipe that will connect between the factory connection point
wide clamp and the tailpipes. When performing the install, only slightly snug the clamps
until the entire system is installed, then adjust pipe positioning and tighten, starting from
the front and working toward the rear of the vehicle.

1. Remove the factory exhaust system starting at the rear of car. Remove the wide

clamp that connects just behind the OEM Y-pipe and keep for use on the new
system.

2. The Valence Modification Kit included with your system will be used to enlarge

the passenger side cutout in the valence and create a new symmetrical hole on the
driver side for the dual exhaust tips. The kit includes one paper template and two
pieces of edge molding 13” long each. First, cut out the outer contour of the
template with a pair of scissors –do not cut the lines marked “Contour Line”.
Place the template over the current hole in the valence where the old tip protruded
through the valence. Line up the template with the contour lines of the valence,
and with the bracket on the underside of the valence – see pictures of the template
below taped onto the driver side of the valence. Tape the template into position
with masking tape.
