05-10 MUSTANG AND 07-10 GT500 MUFFLER KIT
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Thanks for purchasing a Stainless Works Muscleflow Muffler Kit for your Mustang. We
have gone to great pains to make sure that our exhaust systems fit and sound great.
Please follow these steps to ensure that your installation goes as planned.
1. Loosen clamps on both mufflers
2. Loosen clamps at front end of overaxle pipes with a flat screwdriver. Lift up on
the tab on the side of each clamp and slide clamp towards the rear of the car; this
will allow you to remove the overaxle pipe from the forward pipe and slide the
pipe out of the mufflers.
3. Remove both mufflers by sliding them forward and dropping them out of the
rubber hangers on the frame.
4. Unbolt the left front muffler hanger from the frame (the one closest to the rear
axle); slide it onto the pin on the front of the new left muffler. Put this muffler up
in place and slide the other pin into the rear hanger (the one by the bumper). Bolt
the hanger back onto the frame.
5. Repeat for the right side muffler.
6. Slide the muffler inlet into the muffler (both sides are the same). Also slide on a
3” clamp and a 2.5” clamp.
7. Put factory overaxle pipe back on the same way it was removed.
8. Repeat for the other side.
9. Put tips and clamps on muffler tips.
10. Align pipes and tighten clamps.
11. Due to manufacturing tolerances, hangers on mufflers may have to be bent from
side to side to align tips perfectly in valence openings.
