f. Attach a chain to front of APT hitch, and other
end to a forklift (or equivalent).
g. Lift front of APT hitch, and slowly swing hitch aft
until it is approximately parallel with carrier
frame. Lower APT, and remove chain.
IMPORTANT
Ensure hoses on carrier frame are free to
move when APT hitch is moved to
transport position.
h. Tie APT hitch to frame back tube with shipping
wire (or equivalent).
IMPORTANT
Ensure shipping wire is NOT over the
hydraulic lines.
i. Locate two lifting slings (E) around APT hitch
and frame approximately as shown, and attach
to forklift with chains.
NOTE
Adjust position of slings so that mower
conditioner is lifted evenly.
CAUTION
To avoid injury to bystanders from being
struck by machinery, do NOT allow people
to stand in loading area.
CAUTION
Equipment used for unloading must meet or
exceed the requirements specified below.
Using inadequate equipment may result in
chain breakage, vehicle tipping or machine
damage.
