Operation
After the first start of »Cam Manager« the user interface is displayed with an empty work-
space.
Now you can create a new project (worksheet) or open an existing project.
Entries via the Cam Manager
The entire project
– Machine structure
– Name of the axis
The feed constant and gear factor of each axis
– Scaling of the axes for profile creation
The master axis
– Number of cycles of the machine
The value is a rated value and can maximally amount to 199% during operation.
The slave axis
– Number of profiles to be stored
– Number of base points to be assigned
– Selection of the data model
The products (profiles, cams, position markers)
– Product name
– Product number
Tip!
In the installation directory of the »Cam Designer Professional« you can find exam-
ple projects which can be used to make yourself familiar with the operation of the
»Cam Designer Professional«.
Note!
The »Cam Designer Professional« consists of the separate programs »Cam Man-
ager« and »Cam Designer«. To make full use of the product management the
»Cam Manager« should be started first. Many settings can either be made in the
»Cam Manager« and the »Cam Designer«.
Note!
For representing dialog boxes no special names are used. In the majority of cases
the names used in the system are adopted.
