Term Meaning
Controller General designation for servo drives, frequency
inverters and DC drives.
Drive system General designation for systems including 935X
braking units and other Lenze drive components.
Braking unit General designation for the 9351 brake module or
the 9352 brake chopper including a brake resistor.
Pictograph Pictorial marking or symbol with clear information.
Peak braking power Maximum power which a resistor can convert into
heat for a short period of time.
Use l Intended:
– Appropriate use of the machine according to
the manufacturer’s information or according
to common use because of its design and
function.
l Improper:
– Any other use which is not intended.
