Model Designation
Basic model is denoted by: PFT= Pulverizer with Floating rings equipped with Transport wheels
Numbers following indicate machine widths in feet:
10', 12', 14', 15', & 16' wide
Letter following indicates wheel size:
A=4K391; 16" O.D., 12" I.D.
B=4K392; 20" O.D., 14" I.D.
C=4K393; 22" O.D., 16" I.D.
Number following indicates
Pipe drum diameter sizes: 8", 10", 12", & 14"
EXAMPLE: PFT14B08 = Floating ring pulverizer which is 14 Feet
wide and has 20" outside diameter wheels on an 8" pipe drum.
Basic Machine Specifications
Overall Width: The frame width is 15 1/2" wider than the rolling width in all sizes except
the 14’ model whose frame width is 27 1/2" wider than its rolling width.
Overall length:
Working position: 17’ 6”
Transport position: 15’ 6”
Hitch weight Hitch weight in transport varies from 225# for a PFT10A08 to 640# for a PFT16C14.
Hitch weight in operation is approximately 200# for all sizes.
Machine weights
There are 5 wheels per foot of machine width for all size wheels.
“A” size wheels weigh 18 pounds each:
Machines with “A” wheels vary in weight from 190 lbs/ft to 225 lbs/ft of rolling width.
“B” size wheels weigh 34 pounds each:
Machines with “B” wheels vary in weight from 265 lbs/ft to 312 lbs/ft of rolling width.
“C” size wheels weigh 36 pounds each:
Machines with “C” wheels vary in weight from 285 lbs/ft to 324 lbs/ft of rolling width.
