1.13.3. Connecting the Auxiliary Supply Cable (24 V)
Connect the auxiliary supply to the 24 VDC terminal block on the bottom of the Cornet.
Remember, you are working with DC power; so be sure to exercise caution.
Notes for 24 VDC auxiliary supply connections:
Use a 24 AWG twisted pair shielded cable. For best results the shield should have aluminum foil
covered by copper braid.
The 24 VDC auxiliary power supply must meet all safety standards and must be separated from
hazardous live voltages using reinforced or double insulation in accordance with approved
safety standards.
For safety reasons, connect the return of the 24 VDC source to the closest ground.
Connect the cable shield to the closest ground near the 24 VDC source.
Before applying power, first verify the polarity of the connection.
