ATEX Special Conditions for Safe Use (‘X’):
AC100
• The AC100 Acoustic Sensor must always be installed with the detection head pointing down vertically.
• The AC100 Acoustic Sensor must only be installed in areas where there is a low risk of mechanical damage.
• The AC100 is only to be used connected to the ATX10 Acoustic Transmitter or Model STB Sensor Termination Box.
ATX10
• The ATX10 must only be installed in areas where there is a low risk of mechanical damage.
Additional Safety Notes:
• The following warning is on the product: Warning: Do not open when an explosive gas atmosphere may be
present. For ambient temperature above 60°C use field wiring suitable for maximum ambient temperature. For
temperature below –10°C use suitable field wiring for the lowest temperature.
• Cable, bushings and the conduit entries shall be of a flameproof type already certified according to relevant
ATEX standard, rated IP66, so the protection principle employed will not be impaired.
• Unused conduit entries shall be closed using flameproof stop plugs certified for the conditions of use (IP66
minimum). The stop plugs should be removable only with the aid of a tool.
• Shielded cable is required.
