Changing the items in the Label menu

You can change the labels (as well as the colors) in the Label
menu. You make these changes in the Labels control panel.

1. Choose Control Panels from the Apple (

K

) menu and

open the Labels control panel.

2. To change a label, drag across it to select it and then

type your new label.

To change a color, double-click it and choose a new color. For
more instructions, see the chapter on sound and color.

Setting the time and date

Your computer has a clock that keeps track of the time and date (a
battery keeps it running when the computer is turned off ).

Many programs rely on the clock to automatically enter times and
dates in documents you create or print, and the Finder uses it to
keep track of when files are created or changed.

1. Choose Control Panels from the Apple (

K

) menu and

open the Date & Time control panel.
