-LAN Alerting
Destination- (*1)
Specifies the destination of SNMP Trap.
[Disable] radio button
Select it when you want destination setting to disable.
[Enable] radio button
Select it when you want destination setting to enable.
[IP Address] edit box
Specify the IP address of destination of SNMP Trap.
[MAC Address] edit
box
Specify the MAC address of destination of SNMP Trap.
[Use the Default
Gateway] radio
button
Select it when SNMP Trap reports by using Default Gateway.
[Use the Backup
Gateway] radio
button
Select it when SNMP Trap reports by using Backup Gateway.
[Set] button
Saves the settings.
(*1) The number of the destination that can be set up differs by an agent machine model.
In order to receive this SNMP Trap by the management proxy of HEW, set up the IP address
and MAC address of the machine by which the management proxy of HEW is installed in the
setting of destination of SNMP Trap on LAN Alerting Configuration screen. And this
management proxy needs to be installed in the machine other than the machine in which the
agent is installed. The contents of SNMP Trap that the management proxy received can be
checked on an Error Log screen. If a setup of e-mail or Alert Message is performed, an
administrator can receive reports when a management proxy receives SNMP Trap.
