Troubleshooting
Symptom Probable cause Action
Nothing appears on the
display
The battery is not loaded properly. Check the direction of the battery (☞ P.17).
Battery power is getting low. Charge the battery (☞ P.19, P.20).
The power is off. Turn the power on (☞ P.23).
Won’t start
Battery power is getting low. Charge the battery (☞ P.19, P.20).
The power is off. Turn the power on (☞ P.23).
The recorder is in HOLD mode. Release the recorder from HOLD (☞ P.24).
Unable to record
Low remaining memory. Erase unnecessary files (☞ P.58).
The maximum number of files has been
reached.
Change to any other folder
(☞ P.32).
Unable to shooting
Low remaining memory. Erase unnecessary files (☞ P.58).

Attempting to shoot a movie in voice

[Input Jack] is set to [Line]. Set [Input Jack] to [Microphone] (☞ P.67).
No playback sound heard
The earphone is connected.
Unplug the earphones to use the internal
speaker.
The volume level is set to [00]. Adjust the volume level (☞ P.48).
Shooting stopped midway The size of a single file exceeded 4 GB.
It is not possible to shoot exceeding 4 GB
for a single file.
