To play back movies on a TV
You can use any commercially available HDMI mini
cable (Type D) to connect the recorder to a high
definition compatible TV.
Turn off the power of the recorder and
TV before connecting them.
Connecting with HDMI mini cable

Connect the HDMI mini cable to the
HDMI connector on the TV.
Connect the HDMI mini cable to the
HDMI connector on the recorder.
Turn on the TV and switch [Input] to
[HDMI].
Turn on the recorder.
Select the video file to play (☞
P.32).
Press the `
OK button to start
playback.
Notes
• The TV video signal system varies depending on
the countries and regions. Change the output
signal setting in the [HDMI] setting of the
recorder to match the signal of the TV (☞ P.74).
• For details on changing the input setting of the
TV, refer to the TV’s instruction manual.
• Use an HDMI cable that matches the HDMI
micro connector on the recorder and the HDMI
connector on the TV.
• Depending on the TV’s settings, the displayed
images and information may become cropped.
• It is not possible to record sound and shoot
movies while the recorder is connected via
HDMI cable.
• Do not connect the recorder to another
HDMI output device. Doing so may result in a
malfunction.
• When the recorder is connected to the
computer by the USB cable, do not connect the
HDMI cable to the recorder.
• The main LCD does not turn on while the
recorder is connected via HDMI cable.
• When connecting the recorder to a TV that
supports the sampling rate outputs of 96kHz
and 88.2kHz, the sound will be output only from
the TV speaker, and not from the recorder's
speaker or the headphones.
• When connecting the recorder to a TV that does
not support the sampling rate outputs of 96kHz
and 88.2kHz, the sound will be output only from
the recorder's speaker or the headphones, and
not from the TV speaker.
