+/− button to select the
recording format.
[PCM]
This is the uncompressed phonologi-
cal form that is used for music CDs.
[MP3]
This is the International Standard
that MPEG, the working group of
ISO (International Organization for
Standardization), has established.
Recording format
[Rec Format]
This setting corresponds to the linear PCM
format that can record sound at a sound
quality that is better than CDs and to the MP3
format that can record by highly compressing
the file.

Files saved in the PCM (WAV) format
correspond to BWF (Broadcast Wave
