Message Description Action
[Battery low] Battery power is getting low.
Charge the batteries. If you run out of
battery power soon after charging, the
battery has reached its life. Replace it with a
new one. ( ☞ P. 22).
[File locked]
Attempted to delete a locked
file.
Unlock the file ( ☞ P. 91).
[Select a recorder and record.]
Attempting to record other than
in the recorder mode.
Select a folder from among [Folder A] to
[Folder E] and try recording again ( ☞ P.
34).
[No more can be set]
The file is full of index marks
(maximum of 99 marks).
Erase index marks that are no longer
required (
☞ P. 48).
[Folder full]
The folder is full of files
(maximum of 999 files).
Erase unnecessary files ( ☞ P. 50).
[Memory error] Error in the internal memory.
Please contact the Olympus Customer
Support Center ( ☞ P. 136).
[Card error]
The SD card is not recognized
correctly.
Remove the SD card, and insert it again
( ☞ P. 29 to 30).
[Memory full] No remaining memory. Erase unnecessary files ( ☞ P. 50).
[SD Card Locked]
The SD Card is
write protected.
Release the SD card’s write protection
and then try again ( ☞ P. 30).
[No file] No files are found in the folder. Select another folder ( ☞ P. 34).
[Format error]
There was an error while
formatting the recorder's
memory.
Reformat the memory ( ☞ P. 114).
[Can't create the system file.
Connect to PC and erase
unnecessary file]
The file for management cannot
be created due to a shortage of
capacity for remaining memory.
Connect the recorder to a computer and
delete any unnecessary files.
[Cannot play this file] Incompatible format.
Please confirm that the file can be played
on this recorder ( ☞ P. 46).
[Select a file] No file is selected.
Please select a file then carry out the
operation ( ☞ P. 34, 45).
