3. 7. 1 Unnecessary vertical line image on the print
An unnecessary vertical line which looks not so sharp and about 3mm in width might be printed
after a long time usage. This occurs if the wire of the internal imaging component gets dirty. Wire
Cleaning is one of the solution for this problem.
Unnecessary lines
When the KIP Color 80 is not printing, press the Wire-Clean Key on the Operation Panel to start
Wire Cleaning. The Wire-Clean Key flashes and printing becomes not available during cleaning.
The key stops flashing and printing become available when cleaning is finished.

KIP Color 80 automatically performs Wire Cleaning every time when it is turned on after a long
time power off. Automatic Wire Cleaning once in a day like this will be enough in usual usage
condition. But please make Wire Cleaning manually pressing the Wire Clean Key in the
following usage conditions.
• Very large volume of printing is performed in one day
• KIP Color 80 is not turned off for 24 hours, even at night

Wire Cleaning is not available when the lamp of Wire-Clean Key is not lighting.
