2. Check if the mis-fed is cut or not by pulling from
between the Transportation Unit 3 & 4.
Whether the media is cut or not decides what to do
next.
• If the mis-fed media is cut and can be removed
from the machine easily, proceed to the
following procedure 3.
• If it has not been cut yet so can not be
removed from the machine, jump to the
procedure 5. (Procedure 3 and 4 are not
needed.)
3. After removing the mis-fed media from the
Transportation Unit 1 region, close all the
Transportation Units except for the Transport Unit 4.

NOTE
Large green cylinder called “Photoconductive Drum” is inside of each Transportation Unit. It is
the most important part to get a good print image, so no dirt or no damage must be given to it.
• Touching onto its surface will provide a fingerprint. Do not touch the surface of Drum
when removing the mis-fed media.
• Contacting a hard material thing onto its surface will result in a scratch mark. Take off
the watch, the ring and some other hard material thing before removing the mis-fed
media.
NOTE
Close the Transportation Units 1-3 surely and gently. The inside part of machine may be
damaged if closed roughly. And the Transportation Units may not be locked firmly if not closed
surely.
