7.6 Local Setup for Diagnostic (LSD)
About Local Setup for Diagnostic (LSD)
By installing Local Setup for Diagnostic (LSD) onto a computer connected to the
machine, you to change machine settings and check the counters and machine
status from the computer.
The following operations can be performed using LSD.
G Save machine one-touch dialing, speed dialing and group dialing information
onto a computer
G Change machine one-touch dialing, speed dialing and group dialing information
G Change Utility mode settings
G Check the counters
G Check the configuration page
LSD operating environment
The following environment is required in order to install LSD onto a computer.
* Interface used for connecting USB interface with a USB cable

Note
Use a USB cable with an A-type connector (4-pin male) and a B-type connector
(4-pin male). We recommend that the USB cable be no more than 3 meters
long.
